The verdict is in: we’re with you every day

24 February 2022

Our listeners have been unanimous in a recent survey confirming Vision Australia Radio as a ‘vital service’ and praising its informative, professional and entertaining programs.

We conducted the December 2021 survey to find out about your listening habits. The survey asked what programs you enjoyed, how and when you listened and how our service might be improved upon.

An impressive 75 per cent reported that listening to Vision Australia Radio was a part of their daily routines. You either switched on your favourite program or tuned in, confident of finding something informative and enjoyable to listen to.

When asked what you liked about Vision Australia Radio, your responses included positive feedback on:

  • the variety of our content;
  • the presentation and dedication of our volunteers; and
  • the emphasis on providing a diversity of information for people who are blind or have low vision.

Vision Australia Radio Manager Conrad Browne said he was delighted with the responses.

“We now have a clearer knowledge of what’s important to our audience and what they want to hear. Our programmers, presenters and radio staff will use the feedback to not only keep delivering the type of radio our audience loves but to also expand on the diversity of programs.

Thank you to all of our listeners who took the time to complete the survey. And thank you to Vision Australia Radio’s incredible volunteers and staff.

Their dedication means we can continue to deliver quality radio and audio content for the blind, low vision and print disabled communities across Australia.”
